Itinerary Highlights

Begin your ‘Treasures of Peru’ tour with a truly unique museum experience. Explore the country’s intricate heritage at the Larco Herrera Museum. This beautiful building was originally a Republican mansion built on the foundations of a pre-Inca temple. You’ll have access to this 45,000-piece private collection that once belonged to Don Rafael Larco Hoyle, before sitting down amidst this stunning setting for an intimate welcome dinner.

Tick Lima’s famous sites off your list, including the Government PalaceCathedral and the wondrous Convent of San Francisco with its priceless pieces of art and famed catacombs before visiting the Casa Aliaga – Lima’s oldest colonial mansion.

Test your artistic ability with a trip to the workshop of Pablo Seminario, one of the most renowned potters in Peru and enjoy a masterclass workshop where you will craft your own ceramic piece under Pablo’s guidance.

Learn about life in the Sacred Valley as you share an authentic pachamanca lunch with the local community of Misminay. In this traditional village, you’ll be able to mingle with the locals and experience the traditional technique of slow-cooking food underground on a bed of heated rocks.

Tour the ruins of the famous Machu Picchu, an ancient Incan citadel that stands 8,500-feet above sea level, with your expert guide and then wander the breathtaking 15thcentury Inca Empire estate at your own pace.  The sense of history is palpable in the age-old stone walls once inhabited by leaders, warriors, priests and craftsman from an era long since past.

Stop by the archaeological complex of Sillustani on your way to Lake Titicaca – one of the most fascinating natural wonders of the world. The sacred lake is the highest lake in the world and is clothed in myth and mystery.

Visit the floating Uros islands – you’ll have exclusive access to some of the islands’ communities with a unique opportunity to interact with the skilled reed-rafts-men and the expert women weavers and witness the ancestral techniques they still use to keep their islands afloat.

On the Island of Taquile, one of Titicaca’s larger natural islands, you’ll see the intricate process the locals use to produce traditional textiles. These textiles are so unique that UNESCO has designated them Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
